Love the specific examples!

Lindsey Bigelow

The course starts off a little slow, but once you get into the meat and potatoes of it, it is super helpful. I love that she includes so many detailed examples. It gives more applicable ideas than a book alone. (Course: Effective Treatment Planning)

Course Description

Successful treatment begins with a clinician's ability to effectively assess a client's situation, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment needs.  Once a clinician has obtained information about their client through assessment, a functional treatment plan is necessary to then engage the client in the treatment process. Treatment plans are not one-size-fits-all and do require individualization and variation based on numerous factors.  When implemented in collaboration with our clients, treatment planning improves client engagement, functioning, and treatment adherence.  Additionally, treatment plans provide expectations for client and clinician, guide goal-directed treatment, assist with evidence-based approaches, and measure progress and quality of services.
