Wonderful!

First time ever I had a clear framework for helping clients with this problem, rather than just fear and liability. Encouraging all those I work with to take this. (Course: Cognitive Therapy for Suicide)

Continuing Education

Each course offered designates the number of contact/clock hours. Be sure to check with your professional board as they will specify how many continuing education hours are equal to one clock hour (e.g., 1 CE hr = 50 min, 1 CE hr = 60 min).

  • Institute for Psychological Advancement has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider™, ACEP No. 7124. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Institute for Psychological Advancement is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

  • All of our online courses are currently approved by the Missouri State Committee for Social Workers for continuing education.

  • Our courses typically meet requirements for most national, state, and local licensing boards and professional organizations. Be sure to keep a copy of the course description (available for download in each course) and submit with your certificate of attendance or certificate completion to your professional board for consideration.

  • Many boards and professional organizations will accept continuing education that is relevant to each profession (i.e., for professional counselors content must be primarily related to counseling). Other regulatory boards accept continuing education that has been approved by another professional association (e.g., NBCC) in the human services field.

  • For rules governing continuing education and to confirm whether our courses qualify for continuing education in your profession, participants should contact their respective regulatory boards. Participants may also find information by profession below for Missouri and Kansas.
